Zohra
had been sent by her High Priest along with a few other delegates
to give the
offical position of the Vampire Temple on the Declaration
of War that was
being signed in London.
A lot of people were curious, where would the one
officially recognized
and sanctioned vampire religion stand on the
issue.
All Zohra had to do was mention the word, Mark of Condemnation,
and she
could sentence every single person who signed that declaration of
war
to death, or who did not sign it.
The Priests in some ways had
more power than the Purebloods. Even the
lowliest Halfbreed in the Ranks of
the Priesthood was in some ways
exalted above the uninitiated Pureblood. No
one else had control of the
famed River Styx, the fabled place of execution
that some vampires
scoffed at, but which she knew, was all to real. She
tended to that
lake of Blood, offering Blood Sacrifices, sacred rituals, and
worship,
and had done so her entire life. She believed it fed the origin of
them
all. She believed it was their God.
No one had yet announced the
Vampire Position on the War, if there was
one at all, but it would make no
sense whatsoever, for something
as big as this to take place without the
presense of the
sacred Priesthood.
