Acantha had received two requests on behalf of the Psychic
Vampires.
One had come to her from Damona, the Elemental. She had
requested her
presence in London to sign a paper that would put the Blood
Drinker
and Prince of London to death.
Another request had come to her
from David Martin, for her to go to
Rome and sign a treaty of peace with the
same man.
She was irritated with how they were trying to put her in the
middle
of their lovers spat. The fight wasnt really over whether or not
the
Prince should be shown mercy, it was over whether or not the
Elemental
couple could possibly not just take differing sides of a
conflict just
because they were no longer sleeping together.
Acantha had made up her
mind, based on what made the most sense for
the vampire nation and for the
Psychic Vampires she represented.
She went to London where she intended
to sign the paper that would
make the killing of Thomas Green a legal
affair.
She did not even care that technically there was nothing the man
had
done to warrant death other than speak about peace and ending the
war.
She would come up with some really good reason he should be
submitted to the
penalty of death by the time her signature was
required.
Acantha began
to read the thoughts of the vampires all waiting for
the signing of the death
warrant. She was looking for things which
could easily be attributed to Green
which he had not really done and
they had which she could later on extort
them about.
The truth was the crimes were real enough only the
perpetrators were
the accusers and not the accused. It couldnt be any more
perfect
then this in the eyes of the Psychic
Vampiress.
